If that's indeed the case then yes, OP would need to use Bruteforce before opening the files in Gibbed. I believe the latest version of Gibbed can handle encrypted PS3 files as is? Read as such on a few posts around here but of course I could be wrong since I never played on PS3. Borderlands saves were freely convertible though. Reload the game to initialize the new Badassitude of your character. Save the file by overwriting the old one. If you encounter any problems (crashes, etc), please create a new GitHub issue. You have to decrypt them first using Bruteforce. Open the file and modify values as you want. PS3 saves are for Borderlands 2 encrypted.
